The Private Examinations Board aims to provide an objective and impartial assessment for all children studying outside the formal education system in order to ensure that excellent standards are maintained and to assess a child's achievement as an individual.

Homeschool assessment tests will enable parents to:

• be assured that their children are receiving a good education
• be assured that their children are achieving at the correct levels scholastically
• encourage holistic development of their children by including character training as well as academics
• identify possible learning difficulties that their child may have

Standardised tests are offered for English, Afrikaans and Maths only while a portfolio of work will be assessed for all subjects.
